Research and Development
Much of our design and development is done in partnership with our customers. Most of the engineering design of both the product and production tooling is done by Techcom in its Fussach offices, Austria. We handle industrial and graphic design out of its Yongkang office in Zhejiang Province. We make extensive use of the internet to coordinate this geographically dispersed team.We create our designs using the SolidWorks and Alias computer-aided design tools. Shown below is a computer-generated rendering of the OKAI done in Alias. This tool lets us check out the appearance of a design without having to build a lot of physical prototypes. SolidWorks allows us to seamlessly transfer design data into the software that produces the instructions for our computer-controlled machine tools.
